Ramona
This country town is located in San Diego County. It is situated within the Santa Maria Valley at the foothills of the Laguna Mountains. Ramona is bordered by Poway to the northeast, Escondido to the southeast, Lakeside to the south and Santa Ysabel to the west. Unlike many towns in San Diego County, Ramona retains much of its rural heritage. Horseback riding is one of the favorite pastimes. Ramona is one of the most horse – friendly towns in Southern California and owners of equestrian properties in Ramona enjoy the freedom to ride their horse throughout the town. Residents can easily get to the beaches or mountains in 40 minutes or less. The town has its own plethora of antique shops, diners and eateries, parks and hiking trails.
